The working poor defines a group of people in society whom work a full-time job but still do not earn enough money in a year to be above the poverty line. The government only awards a certain amount of financial assistance depending on how much a person makes in a year. Should the government give enough financial assistance to the working poor so that not only are they above the poverty line, but also that they are able to support themselves and any possible dependents? Explain why or why not.

In areas where crimes such as, drug trafficing and prostitution are high, the housing complexes are deemed as “low-income housing.” Are the crimes that take place in these areas the only reason why the housing complexes are deemed as “low-income housing?” Explain why or why not.

Would it be better for society for the government to abolish their financial assistance programs? Explain why or why not.

Is there any reason to believe that government patches like welfare and Medicaid, make people so dependent on the programs that they live with the mentaility that since they have been living off of the program for so long that there is no hope in trying make thier lives better?
